Who We Are Chris began selling antiques in 2000, and opened up Fort Plain Antiques in 2005. Julie joined up to help in 2009. Together they are happy to reclaim funky treasures and bring them to you. In fall of 2009, Fort Plain Antiques moved into their new location on Willett St. In this beautiful new store, they are able to expand inventory in all directions, including architectural pieces, Amish sheds, and exquisite reclaimed vintage flooring.
In 2011, Chris and Julie got married and now they are combining forces to make this store the best it can be. In fall of 2012, Fort Plain Antiques expanded and opened up a Salvage Dept, also at 55 Willett St., and the dreams of offering big stuff came true. In addition, Julie the network minion came on full time and became a full-fledged partner of this crazy emporium.
The salvage was such a popular thing that after 4 years we are expanding! We also decided to move our Antiques Dept down to the Salvage Dept and consolidate in order to make it easier for us to manage.
In April of 2016 the Fort Plain Antiques and Salvage opened up their new shop located in the middle of the building at our same location of 55 Willett St., Fort Plain NY. Come see us and browse through our new space!
